I am trolling the water at this point, as "precious" is not quite ready for sale, but I will be letting her go this fall. I am taking offers to gauge interest, and what people are willing to pay. It will be sold complete minus the roof tent and kayak carrier. Details are as follows:
1991 Range Rover 174k miles
The good:
4.2L V8 w/ serpentine belt approx 100k on engine. All gaskets have been replaced, rebuilt rocker shafts, new Edelbrock timing chain and gears. New oilo cooler line and pas lines. New ignition coil and module. New plugs and wires, new fuel filter, reman injectors. New water pump and coolant hoses. Rebuilt radiator, new thermostat. New exhaust from the heads back, ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, new y-pipe and cats, Borla center muffler, rear silencer. Rebuilt transmission. LT230 conversion. New brake pads front and rear. Rear air locker w/ rovertracks axles. OME HD lift w/ bilstein shocks. Like new Cooper Discoverer S/T 235/85-16 including full size spare. SG front bumper w/ IPF 800xs driving lights. IPF e code headlight conversion w/ HD harness running 100w/170w headlights. IPF back up light. Front skid plate and diff gaurd. HD track rod, OME steering stabiliser relocated to the front behind skid. HD rear bumper. Dual battery system w/ OPtima yellow top running accesory circuits. Mantec snorkel.
The bad:
Will need new suspension bushings. Body in good shape, but has trail rash and minor dents, nothing major. AC has new discovery style pump, but needs new lines made to be running. Lifters bleed off oil pressure after it sits for a few days, so you get a little lifter noise on cold startup. Headliner is starting to sag a little in the back near the tailgate. Center console is broken (typical) around the window switch pack so it is loose. Shifter film is torn. Tailgate actuator is fussy, as is the left rear door. BOth are slow to unlock and sometimes operate intermittently. Most of these little things will cleared up before it goes, but I am listing them now anyhow.
If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I should have it available IN October. I love my truck, but I don't have use for it as I don't seem to do any trail runs. Kristi and I recently acquired a nice low mileage P38 which will be our overland vehicle. We are in the process of ordering an AT Chaser trailer for it rather than building another vehicle. We have two sets of tires one for street, one for off-road. So I no longer need to have the rangie around. It isn't perfect, but it has had a lot mechanical love shown to it over the past 2 years.
