Gerber has a new folding axe that looks really solid.

I saw that on Expedition Portal. It just doesn't look right to me. The folding handle seems unnecessary especially to bring along in a vehicle.

I do like how compact it gets and it has a sort of built in sleeve. What's the price on it? I have a regular Gerber hatchet, but short of using it to chop up kindling it's pretty worthless.

I don't really know anything more about the axe. I saw it in an Adventure Magazine and liked it.

I have a full size Fiskars Axe that I'm completely happy with. I'm always looking for new ways to save room in the truck though, and this Gerber looks pretty good in that department, especially for the Jeeps.

I have to add the Geber is the knife to the soldier for hire....That axe looks more for fighting than chopping wood....

Just be upfront with me, Talk staight, dont lie, dont sugar coat and we will be good friends.

I saw that one too, in a mag. I am always a little nervous about stuff that folds and cuts. One bad experience will do that.

Forntunatly, the pinz comes stock with an ax and a shovel,  I had a small pick left over from the great Mog adventure.

That's the way to do it, manual labor sucks!
