Atlantic British sells a kit to relo the ignition module from the side of the distributor to the fender.  It's a shade over $500...

Seriously?  Looks to me like the task requires some wire, a little solder, and a small heat sink to mount the ingnition module.  That's $25 on the outside.  WTF?

I put an HEi distributor in my D1.The coil is on top of the cap and there is only one wire running to the ditributor. Clean and simple setup I used a buick (junk yard) distributor and a HP rebuild. Also had some trimming of the power stiring bracket to do. I was into it $150 and a good day labor. DUI makes an HEI distributor for a rover EFI for $650.Honestly if it ait broke why fix it.

We had Jim Hall post an article over how to do this on the Solihull Society website about a month ago. Total cost was probably less than $20. Subsequently I have the new GM module I was going to use to relocate my RRC and no longer need it. If somebody wants it I can bring it to a meet and greet sometimes. I'll give it away to a good home.
