My wife wants a GPS for Christmas this year. The main requirements for her are turn-by-turn directions and ease of use. I was looking at the Garmin i3 and i5: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-StreetPilot-12-Parallel-Channel-Vehicle-Navigation/dp/B000ACHVVE/sr=1-1/qid=1163114774/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-6789980-5378364?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
Any recommendations?

Tom tom looks pretty goods for that.
Edit: Let me qualify that. I haven't really researched these. I know I'm the map geek and I don't want this suggestion to be taken too strongly. Let's just say that Tom Tom has intrigued me.

Let me backup for a second... you are Christmas shopping in early November?

Damn. You must have correctly guessed that I have an ulterior motive.
Orvis is having a sale for a fly rod that is over $100 off the regular price, so I figured I'd dangle this in front of her nose so I could order the fly rod.

Mike, first great call on the fly rod. Glad that you have your priorites in place!!!!!
But, tell the truth, the real reason is you are tired of hearing: Mike Mike, Do I turn right here? Mike Mike, do I go straight? Mike Mike how do I get to Mall?

My wife calls me constantly when she's lost. A GPS will be a gift for me as well.
