Getting ready for WestFest in Darby toward the end of July.  I pulled out a couple of my old backpacking tents and have been trying to figure out which one I want to take.  Like most gearheads, I've decided on a mix-n-match approach.  My Sierra Designs Polaris two-person tent is still in great shape, but kind of a pig weight wise.  I really like my 7 y.o. Walrus Zoid 1.0, but its a tight fit, with room for me and the sleeping bag.  I have also been looking at the MSR E-Wing tarp.  At 44' feet, it's big enough to set up my sleeping bag and gear under for those not too turbulent nights.  So I've decided to take the Zoid and buy a E-Wing.  If nothing else, I'll have the Zoid for sleeping and the E-Wing for my camp cot, riding and fly fishing gear, etc.  Neither take too much room. Oh, also got rid of my Thermarests and bought a smaller, lighter Big Agnes for under the Marmot bag.  The Jetboil I got in trade from Craig is becoming my best buddy, so am leaving the other camp stoves at home this year.

What is everyone else planning on using this year?

For hiking, I use either my 18yo Marmot bivy sack or my Mountain Hardware EV2 4 season mountaineering tent. The latter is a bit heavy for hiking in summer. I really prefer a tent over the bivy sack so I've been researching ultra-light tent options, but haven't decided on anything yet.
